It’s a decent hat for keeping the sun off when you’re just pottering around. The UV protection seems fine. I found it a bit warm even with the mesh if I was doing anything too strenuous, but for light walks or sitting by the creek, it’s alright. Durable material.

Got this for a camping trip up north. It’s light, which is good, and the mesh does help with airflow. Folds up easily enough to chuck in my backpack. Keeps the sun off my neck and face, which is the main thing. Solid hat for the price.

Needed something for gardening that wouldn’t make my head boil. This hat is pretty good. The nylon feels tough and it definitely blocks the sun. Only reason it’s not a 5 is the brim is a touch floppy in strong wind, but otherwise, happy with it.
